Best Paper Award DCOSS – Jagdeep Singh

Jagdeep Singh has been granted the Best Paper Award in the 19th Annual International Conference on Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things (DCOSS-IoT 2023), Coral Bay, Cyprus, 19-21 June. In this paper, he presented BmmW, an indoor localization system that augments the ranging estimates obtained with BLE 5.1’s constant tone extension feature with mmWave radar measurements to provide real-time 3D localization of a mobile tag with decimetre-level accuracy. This is the second time he gets a Best Paper Award, congratulations!

The conference intended since its creation to cover several aspects of distributed computing in smartsystems such as high level abstractions and models, systematic design methodologies, signal and information processing, algorithms, analysis and applications.  DCOSS is broadening its scope beyond sensor networks to smart systems in general as well as the Internet of Things (IoT). The updated name is “Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things” (DCOSS-IoT)..
